The Van Aert family appeals against the Egg Farmers of Ontario marketing board have now been set for June 8 to 10.
They were previously delayed.
In previous hearings at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal, the family sought board-managed pullet quota leases to fill a new barn. They lost that appeal for a price break on the leases.
The family raises pullets and keeps egg-laying hens under organic standards, filling an increasing consumer demand. They market via Burnbrae.
SWB Poultry Farms Ltd. and Samantha Bloemen of Lucan; TVA Farms Ltd., Theodore (Theo) Van Aert, Sim Farms Ltd, Diane Van Aert and Simon Van Aert and Luke Van Aert of Watford are named in the June appeal.
