Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) has signed five contracts worth $6.6 million to install fibre-optic cable to serve rural residences and businesses in Perth County.
The work is to be done by spring next year.
The federal and Ontario governments are each contributing $1.8 million towards these contracts.
