Mexico joins International Dairy Federation

The International Dairy Federation has admitted Mexico as a member.

IDF president  Piercristiano Brazzale said “Mexico’s expertise and perspective will not only be valuable to the global dairy sector, but having this new country at the table alongside our broad members is incredibly important adding even more strength to our global voice, knowledge and expertise”.

The IDF now represents more than 75 per cent of the world’s milk supply,” said director-general Caroline Emond.

Carlos Villarreal will represent Mexico and said  "we are very happy to re-incorporate the International Dairy Federation, after a few years of absence, to collaborate from Mexico, to the objective of the IDF: To nourish the world with safe and sustainable dairy products”.

IDF has more than 1,200 experts in 39 countries.

It provides a way for the dairy sector to reach global consensus on how to help feed the world with safe and sustainable dairy products.

IDF plays a role in ensuring the right policies, standards, practices, and regulations are in place to achieve this goal.
