Yanick Gervais has been chosen president and chief executive officer of Olymel to succeed Réjean Nadeau who passed died of cancer on Oct. 14.
Gervais has been interim CEO since Oct. 7.
He previously was senior vice president of operations at Olymel and was responsible for managing more than 30 pork and poultry processing plants, mostly in Quebec but also in Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick.
He also oversaw the company’s logistics and engineering departments.
Gervais joined Olymel in 2016 following the acquisition of La Fernandière, a company specializing in sausage production. He was co-owner of that company since 2005.
