CFIA diseases data published

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported that there were 133 outbreaks of avian influenza last year.

And its on-line data for federally-reportable diseases for terrestrial animals said there were eight cases of chronic wasting disease, one of tuberculosis and seven of equine infectious anemia.

That compares with 279 avian influenza outbreaks in 2022, six cases of chronic wasting disease and 16 of equine infectious anemia.
