Woodstock in line for poultry processing plant

Woodstock city council will be pondering a $6.7-million bid for 14 acres in its industrial basin for a new poultry processing plant that would employ about 300 people.

High Noon Investment Corp. has made the bid. The name of the poultry processor is not included in the documents staff prepared for council’s meeting.

If the sale and the bylaw amendments are approved by the Woodstock City Council, the sale is expected to close by mid-July 2024, according to the on-line version of Meatingplace Magazine.
