The Canadian Food Inspection Agency found pesticide residues in 62 per cent of 1,275 samples of baked goods and breakfast cereals it tested.
Only 13 exceeded maximums.
The products were also tested for 19 metals, but there are no maximums in regulations.
They were arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury.
