Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz has appointed Laurent Pellerin
to a second three-year term as chairman of the Farm Products Council of Canada.
The council’s main role is supervising national marketing
agencies for chickens, turkeys, eggs and hatching eggs.
It also supervises national agencies that gather funds for
beef research and promotion and the same for raspberries.
It is due to make a decision soon on an application to
establish a national agency for pullet growers.
