Cathy Lennon to manage OFA

Cathy Lennon will take over from Neil Currie as general manager for the Ontario Federation of Agriculture on Aug. 31.

Lennon is from Perth County, is a graduate from the University of Waterloo and of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program.

She has been manager of the Ontario Sheep Farmers association, of the Ontario Processing Vegetables Marketing Board, a program manager with Agricorp and senior lender with Farm Credit Canada.

“It’s an exciting new era for OFA as we welcome Cathy into the organization,” says Keith Currie, OFA president. Neil Currie has been OFA general manager for 20 years and before that was manager for the Ontario Egg Producers Marketing Board.

“Agriculture has big opportunities and no end of challenges, and Cathy’s experience in so many facets of the agricultural sector will be a tremendous asset for the entire OFA organization,” Keith Currie said.
