Vietnam improves ASF vaccination protocol

Vietnam is reporting that the deaths of pigs vaccinated for African Swine Fever resulted from improper procedures.

It happened after the government provided the new vaccine to veterinarians and farmers and they did not comply with the protocols.

Now stricter controls are in place and the government is reporting success on two farms with 258 pigs.

The government is preparing distribution of 600,000 doses, will supervise vaccination more closely and will continue supervision to evaluate effectiveness of the vaccine.
