Mercy for Animals strikes in B.C.

Mercy for Animals has struck again, this time with an undercover video of abuse at Chilliwack Cattle Sales of British Columbia, the largest dairy farm in Canada.

The company has fired eight employees based on the video which has been posted on the CBC website.

The undercover video shows dairy cows being whipped and beaten with chains and canes, as well as punched and kicked.

Mercy for Animals has shot similar undercover videos this year at Hybrid Turkeys of Kitchener and at Horizon Poultry at Hanover.

In all three cases, an employee has shot the footage which has been turned over to the CBC for television broadcast. In all three cases, employees have been fired.
