Saputo Inc. reports that sales increased by 26.5 per cent and
profits increased by 10.8 per cent in the fiscal year that ended March 31.
Sales totaled $9.2 billion and profits were more than $1 billion.
Canadian revenues increased by only 2.1 per cent to $3.7 billion.
U.S. revenues increased by 57.6 per cent to $4.5 billion and international
revenues, mainly from Argentina, increased by 25.2 per cent to more than $1 billion.
The results for the fourth quarter showed an increase in
revenues from $2 to $2.5 billion and profits increased from $100 to $119
million.
