The Canadian Border Services Agency intercepted 27 kilograms
of raw meat as passengers arrived at Pearson International Airport on a flight
from Egypt.
They took beef, goose and small birds.
They lied on their declaration that they were not bringing
in any plants or meat.
Egypt had an outbreak of a new form of foot and mouth
disease in 2012 that killed thousands of animals.
The meat was detected by one of the agency's sniffer dogs.
