Kees De Lange dead at 55

Swine researcher Cornelius (Kees) De Lange has died of cancer. He was 55.

He was much admired by farmers who closely followed his research into swine nutrition, especially liquid feeding systems.

He helped those who adopted liquid feeding systems to set up an organization to share information.

He was a member of the University of Guelph’s animal biosciences department.

He moved to Alberta from the Netherlands in 1985, graduated from the University of Alberta, worked at the Prairie Swine Research Centre and joined the faculty at Guelph in 1994.
