John Yokimas, a farmer in East Selkirk, Manitoba, had an
unusual way of asking Sally Hnatiuk if she is willing to marry him.
He went plowing. And then he took her for a plane ride.
And then he pointed to his wheat field where he had plowed: “I
love U Sally. Will U Marry Me?”
She said she was in shock, but not so much that she failed
to immediately say “Yes!”.
They plan to marry next fall.
