Appeal fails

Norman Bourdeau has lost his appeal of a conviction and fine for contempt of court. He is weighing the merits of applying to the Supreme Court of Canada.

His conviction was for retaining copies of electronic files he took from L.H. Gray and Sons Ltd. and for sharing information from them.

The files are under court protection while lawyers for Gray, Burnbrae Farms Ltd. and the Egg Farmers of Ontario marketing board continue building their legal defences against a conspiracy charge filed by Svante Lind and his Best Choice Eggs business.

A trial, if it ever gets that far, is still months, if not years, away. Lind's original charges were filed years ago.
