Vet council has adequate slate

Although a website for the provincial government says the council governing the Ontario College of Veterinarians lists only four members, the council actually has 16 members.

The four are appointed by the provincial government and it could add a fifth.

Legislation requires the council to have at least nine members.

The majority is appointed by the college.

They are Dr. Ken Bridge, president, Dr. Nina Szpakowski, first vice president and Dr. Alison Moore, second vice president.

Also veterinary doctors Tim Arthur, Beverly Baxter, Peter Conlon, Clare Craig, Bryan Kennedy, Barbara Leslie, Michael Mogavero, Mike Pownall, Elizabeth Saul and James Vanhie.
