Brad Wall touches off firestorm

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall touched off a firestorm when he suggested to A&W that it ought to match Wendy’s,  Harvey’s and McDonald’s by sourcing all of its beef from Canadian farmers.

In response to Wall’s tweet, A&W said it can’t get enough Canadian beef to meet its standards, which include being raised without help from injected or fed hormones.

The A&W response immediately drew widespread social-media reaction from farmers and Canadian consumers, some of them vowing to boycott A&W.
