Meat processors talk pot


“Evolving consumer demand will create a large market for cannabis edibles and meat alternative,” says the Ontario Independent Meat Processors, which is planning a panel discussion on the opportunities during its upcoming Industry Day.

”With adequate safety measures, edibles present a hugely profitable opportunity for the Canadian food industry,” the association said about the event April 11 at the Double Tree Toronto Airport West hotel April 11. The registration deadline is April 5.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Maurizio Racco, from fudi Canada,  and the panelists will be Chad Finkelstein of Dale and Lessman LLP, Tricia Ryan of CannTx and chef Andrew Frastacky.
