Canada oks Bovaer

Methane-fighting Bovaer has received government approval as a cattle-ration supplement.

Dsm-firmenich of the Netherlands said its product could be available in Canada within a few weeks.

Canadian research has confirmed it not only reduces methane emissions, but also slightly increases feed efficiency without hampering growth rate.

“This will benefit Canadian farmers, efforts of the sector, and support Canada in delivering on its international emissions reduction commitments such as the Global Methane Pledge,” said Mark van Nieuwland, vice-president of Bovaer.
