Owner Doug Smith says it’s taking longer than anticipated to
rebuild after fire destroyed the plant a year ago.
It costs $200,000 a month to ship its customers' deadstock to
an Ottawa facility, he said, and insurance coverage for that service is running
out.
So he has told customers that they will either have to pay
more to have their deadstock removed or store it until the plant resumes
operations.
Yeah, sure it's a realistic option to store deadstock on farm.
