Thomas Greenwood and his business, Greenwood Meats of King
Street, Burford, have been fined $3,750 after they were found packing meat
without a licence.
Investigators from the Brant County Health Unit and the
Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs caught him with 330
pounds of ready-to-eat meat that had been prepared in a facility that was not
licenced.
Burford has a bad reputation for meat packing. It’s where
Richard “Butch” Claire was caught butchering deadstock.
