Fire destroyed a barn and 45 dairy cattle near Maryhill over
the Easter weekend.
The Hailey family is guessing that a hot piece of metal or a
stone that passed through their straw chopper ignited the blaze.
The cattle that died included cows, heifers and calves.
About 100 head in two nearby barns were safe.
