Another barn fire has claimed nine horses, this time in
Norwich Township, Oxford County.
The cause of this fire is not considered suspicious.
The news media has been paying a lot of attention to barn
fires this winter after 48 race horses died in Puslinch Township and soon after
12 Arabian horses died in a fire near Mount Forest.
There were five barn fires in January and a few more in
February, including one in Elgin County that claimed 90 dairy cattle.
That number of barn fires is not considered unusual.
