He says the way they do business hurts his state’s 7,000
cattle farms.
Meatingplace Magazine says it’s believed to be the first
state probe of its kind.
Balderas said the beef-packing companies are “reaping record
profits” at the expense of local residents who are seeing their paychecks
shrink and meat prices rise.
