Grower wants to plant marijuana outdoors

A cannabis company has filed an application with Health Canada to grow 100 acres of marijuana outdoors.

48North Cannabis Corp. plans to start plants in a greenhouse, then transplant them outdoors near Brantford.

As part of its application, company spokesperson Jeannette VanderMarel told a reporter the company intends to back its application with a video showing its security measures.

I'm guessing this is a tobacco-growing operation and it would not surprise me to learn that it's part of the black-market operations. Let's hope it's not linked to the Six Nations reserve.

The Toronto-based company has been processing medical marijuana extracts.
