Province plans an ethanol increase

The Ford government’s plan for the environment includes a boost in ethanol content in gasoline to 15 per cent by 2025.

It’s a goal welcomed by the Ontario Corn Producers Association, but probably not by the livestock and poultry industry whose costs might increase.

There has been divided opinion on ethanol since the province first forced the gasoline industry to incorporate five per cent ethanol, a move that followed similar orders in the United States and other Canadian provinces.
