Perth County finisher has PED

A finishing barn in Perth County has contracted Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus.

It is the 116^thcase in the province since the disease first arrived in Ontario in January, 2014.

Most hogs in a finishing barn can survive the virus, but it’s deadly for newborn piglets.
