Kirovets tractors returning to Canada and U.S.

The Russian-made MTZ-Kirovets Articulated Tractors are returning to the North American market in January, starting with the model K744 Tier 4F.

It’s base priced at $219,600 US and MTZ said it will significantly reduce farmers’ input cost.

Adding duals, PYO and GPS increases the price to $259,000 US.
It is powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine and put out 435 horsepower during Nebraska testing.

Since 1962, more than 500,000 Kirovets articulating Tractors have been produced and sold in more than 50 countries.

MTZ Equipment Ltd. is the exclusive distributor in the USA and Canada for MTZ-Kirovets tractors.

They'd better be an improvement over the first Russian tractors imported for Canadian farmers, else their return will be short-lived.
