CFIA suspends Kraft-Heinz import licence

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has suspended the fish import licence held by Kraft-Heinz of Toronto.

The CFIA says the company failed to provide 48-hour notice of intention to import fish.

There is no indication of what the CFIA will require of the company to regain its import licence.

The suspension notice is posted on the CFIA website.

Kraft-Heinz is one of the largest food-processing companies in North America.
