The Chicken
Farmers of Ontario (CFO) marketing board has won the Premier's Award for
Agri-Food Innovation Excellence for its internet service, CFO Connects.
The program
connects about 1,200 farmers, three hatcheries, 19 poultry transporters and 16
processors into a connected supply chain.
“We are
honoured and proud of the recognition received by the premier for our
achievements with enhancing quality and productivity, improving customer service,
stimulating innovation and supporting risk management through the
implementation of CFO Connects,” said CFO chairman Henry Zantingh.
