Kathleen Cooper
of Lindsay has been appointed to a three-year term on Ontario’s Pesticides
Review Board.
The board advises
the province on restricting the use of pesticides beyond the limits set by the
federal government’s Pest Management Review Agency.
Ontario has, for
example, banned householder use of lawn and garden weed and insect killers.
Cooper is a
lawyer with 30 years of experience with environmental law issues.
