Two more appointed to SPCA oversight board

Two more people have been appointed to the Ontario Animal Review Board which oversees the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Among other things, it hears appeals when people feel they have been unjustly dealt with by the SPCA.

Harriet Lewis and Karen Restoule, both of Toronto, have been appointed to two-year terms.

Both have also been appointed for two-year terms to the Ontario Fire Safety Commission.

It deals with appeals from actions by fire marshalls and departments and was at the centre of controversies over the use of barns for weddings and parties.
