Metro recalls beef, veal products

The Metro supermarket chain, which also owns Food Basics, is recalling a long list of beef and veal products supplied by Ryding-Regency of Toronto.

The Ryding-Regency plant has been shut down by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and its licence will remain suspended until it can bring its facility into compliance.

It has recalled its beef and veal products because they might be contaminated with E. coli 0157:H7 food-poisoning bacteria.
