More beef and veal on recall

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has released another long list of butcher shops, restaurants and retail outlets that are recalling their beef and veal products because of possible contamination with E. coli 0157:H7 food-poisoning bacteria.

They all used beef or veal from Ryding-Regency Meat Packers in Toronto which is shut down because the Canadian Food Inspection Agency suspended its licence.

It has become the most complex and one of the largest beef recalls in Canada.

Ryding-Regency is the third-largest beef packer in Ontario and one of the few – if not the only one - serving the kosher market.
