A&W makes another politically-correct move

A&W has announced that it is “making a commitment to exclusively source and serve 100 per cent Canadian grass-fed and -finished beef in its restaurants.”
It has about 1,000 outlets across Canada.
The chain launched its politically-correct moves in 2013 when it announced that all of its hamburgers “are now made with beef that has been raised without any added steroids or hormones and contains no added preservatives or additives.”
Beef farmers were angry because the campaign implied that regular hamburger is inferior.
A&W has consistently tried to position itself as better, including a switch from plastic to paper drinking straws when the news media highlighted environmental problems with non-recyclable plastics.
