FAO marks 75th anniversary

Several world leaders will join Thursday to mark the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.


Canada was a leader in that initiative.


Federal Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, will be joined by her United States counterpart, Sonny Purdue and by Dr. Qu Dongyu, director general of the FAO. to mark the anniversary.


Also involved was Nadine Girault, Canada’s Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration and Minister Responsible for the Laurentides Region.
