The annual report features successful programs and events
that took place during the year, including hundreds of thousands of internet
visitors seeking information about farming.
What the annual report does not contain is financial
information about how much money was raised and spent.
Nor does it have anything to say about a few sensational
cases of underground videos depicting animal abuse.
The most notorious was at Chilliwack Cattle Co. of British
Columbia, the largest dairy farm in Canada where staff were caught on camera
beating cattle to get them to enter a rotary milker and using a chain and
tractor to haul a cow out.
The company and some staff pleaded guilty and were fined.
