Hank Lammers has died


Hank Lammers, a stalwart at Burnbrae Farms, has died.

Born in Aalten, the Netherlands, Hank immigrated with his family to Canada when he was 15 and soon after began working in the egg industry which became not only his career but his lifelong passion as an "Egg Man. 


Lammers was given the Outstanding Contribution Award by the Canadian Poultry and Egg Council in 2019.


When he retired, he was vice president of corporate development and industry relations for Burnbrae Farms. But he was also considered owner Joe Hudson’s right-hand man while Hudson was developing Burnbrae into Canada’s largest egg production, egg grading and egg processing company.


He was a volunteer in church and chairman of the local Christian School Board.
