The Canadian Food Inspection reported recently that there have been 68 outbreaks of highly-infectrious avian influenza so far this year, but the tally has been increasing daily in British Columbia and Alberta.
There has been one case of bovine tuberculosis, eight of chronic wasting disease, nine of equine infectious anemia an two of Newcastle disease.
