Quebec group loses bid to upset foie gras ban

L’Association des Eleveurs de Canards et d’Oies du Quebec has lost its bid to upset a California ban on foie gras.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected a bid to have it hear an appeal of a lower-court ruling that upheld California’s ban.

Foie gras is produced from the enlarged livers of ducks and geese that have been force-fed corn.
