Agropur has made its biggest deal, buying Davisco Foods
International of Le Sueur, Minnesota and doubling its business in the United
States.
No terms of the deal, which is to close Aug. 1, have been
disclosed.
Davisco has annual sales of more than $1 billion compared
with Agropur sales of less than $5 billion before this deal.
Agropur will have 41 plants when this deal closes. It’s base
is in Quebec where it is a cooperative owned by dairy farmers.
