Police
in Washington, D.C., took a gun from Ronald William Prestage, president-elect
of the National Pork Producers Council this week, as he was entering a
government building on a lobbying mission.
He
has a South Carolina licence to carry the pistol, but not a licence for the
District of Columbia. It’s an offence that could draw a sentence of up to five
years in prison.
Prestage, 59, is a
veterinarian and hog farmer.
Do lobbyists in the U.S. figure if they can't convince them, they'll shoot them?
