Canadian recalls linked to U.S. company

There has been a series of recalls of frozen vegetable products across Canada linked to CRF Foods of Pasco, Washington.

Every day recently, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a new notice of a recall because the products might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes food-poisoning bacteria.

It says only that they are sourced from outside the country and does not name CRF Foods.

The most recent recall is Ajinomoto brand Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice sold via Costco outlets across Western Canada.
Other recalls have applied to products distributed from Nova Scotia, Ontario and McCain Foods of New Brunswick.

The CRF recall notice is many pages long and applies to all products processed at the plant since May 1, 2014.
