No reason has been revealed for either the appeal or its
withdrawal.
It is the second time the appeal has been shelved. Earlier
this year it was put on hold.
Belwood Poultry is a processing plant at Amherstburg, near
Windsor, and is associated with Belwood Poultry Farms Ltd. which raises
turkeys.
It is owned by one of two separate Schlegel families which
each own turkey farms and nursing homes in different parts of the province.
There are no business connections between the two Schlegel
families.
