The truck did roll away and the Genie GR12 forklift crashed
off the loading dock and the driver was injured.
The accident happened in September, 2015, at 149
Brock Street in Thamesford: Maple Leaf is closing that turkey-processing plant and
moving production to the Sofina plant in Mitchell, a transition that is due to
be done by early next year.
Although neither the truck nor the driver were Maple Leaf's, the court ruled the company has responsibility to ensure that safety standards are observed by anyone on its property.
