Temple Grandin and colleague Gary Smith are
each donating $250,000 to the College of Agriculture Sciences at Colorado State
University.
Both are well-known animal welfare advocates
and researchers.
Grandin has often spoken to farm and
meat-industry groups in Canada, informing them how they can improve management
of livestock.
