DuPont, Dow to merge

As expected (see previous report), DuPont and Dow have agreed to merge, combining their stocks worth $130 billion.

And, also as reported, the merger is to be followed by a division into three parts, one of which will research, develop and market seeds and pesticides.

Dow is also going to buy the 50 per cent of the Corning company that it does not already own.
