More Chipotle customers sickened

There’s yet another round of food poisoning of Chipotle customers, this time on the East Coast instead of the West Coast where there have been a number of E. coli cases.

But so far there is no evidence that the Chipotle marketing moguls are willing to back off their “no antibiotics” policy.

They buy billboard space to advertise their refusal to buy any meat from farmers who have used antibiotics.

The most recent case involves 10 basketball players and 20 other students from Boston College who dined at the Cleveland Circle Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Chipotle said it had temporarily closed the restaurant.

“We do not have any evidence to suggest that this incident is related to the previous E. coli incident,” Chipotle spokesman Chris Arnold said in an email. “There are no confirmed cases of E. coli connected to Chipotle in Massachusetts.”
