Roger Albers and Matt Lynch have filed an appeal against the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency.
Albers said in a telephone interview from his business in Acme, Alta., that he pays a checkoff on all his lambs in Alberta and considers it “double dipping” that the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency is taking a checkoff on the lambs he sells to clients in Ontario.
The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeals Tribunal has set March 23 for a public hearing on the appeal.
